1: Call to Adventure

The Call to Adventure is the moment the pattern breaks. A challenge, invitation, crisis, or revelation reaches the hero and names a path they did not expect to walk. Ordinary life is no longer enough; the story announces that something must change.

Sometimes the call is loud and explicit, sometimes small and private, but it always points away from the status quo.
