8: Reward (Seizing the Sword)

Having survived the Ordeal, the hero gains a Reward. It may be a physical object, a crucial piece of knowledge, a reconciled relationship, or a new understanding of self. Whatever its form, the reward is what will make the rest of the journey possible.
This is the “sword” seized from the heart of the conflict — the thing the hero will now carry back into the world.
